Highlighting Cretan Cultural Heritage to Stanford University Alumni Association

In the context of promoting local culture and local products, MACC partnered with Thalassa Journeys to host guests from the Stanford University Alumni Association on the SH Diana cruise ship in the city of Rethymnon.
The reception of the cruise ship took place in the presence of the Mayor, Mr. George Marinakis.

At the same time, we express our appreciation to Ms. Baklava for her valuable contribution to the implementation of this project.
Through these actions, representatives of Delights of Crete, Mr.Sifakis and Grecotel, Mr.Kaleitzidakis, as well as our partners such as Mr.Fakidaris and Mr.Zacharakis had the opportunity, apart from their hospitality and their tour on the cruise ship, to present, in the first phase, local products and general characteristics that represent our place.
By extension, a piece of our philosophy and vision was presented, combining an ultimate hospitality experience.

In the second phase, apart from the presentation of local products for sale on board the cruise ship, our guests and MACC partners had the opportunity to enjoy Cretan delicacies and visit the organic farm of Grecotel, “Agreco”, highlighting Cretan culture and music, together with “ambassadors” of Cretan Cultural Heritage, from the Cretan Vraconophore Group.

This cooperation underlines the importance of highlighting local cultural heritage and partnerships to promote local cultural heritage.
