MACC seeks to promote sustainability and innovation in the agri-food sector, while focusing on the promotion of traditional products. To this end, it participates in a series of events that promote growth and innovation. One of the most important events in which MACC will take part is the“Cretan Food Culture“, which will take place from 14 to 16 July in Margarites.
It is an annual event organized by the Educational Development Company PLOIGOS with the support of the Region of Crete. This institution aims to promote the local gastronomy and culture of the wider region of Crete, while strengthening local communities and promoting sustainable patterns of life and development.
The event includes informative workshops, cultural presentations and initiatives, as well as pan-Cretan and international competitions and announcements of agreements for the exchange of good practices. In addition, in collaboration with its partners, MACC will support the organization of the “Quality of Olive Oil from Individual Production” competition, which will take place on 15 July 2023 in Margarites.
This competition aims to evaluate and recognize the quality of local olive oil produced individually, promoting the quality and recognition of the traditional flavours of Crete. MACC continues to promote sustainable agriculture, innovation and the promotion of traditional products, thus strengthening its role as a leading development and innovation agency in the agri-food sector.
