MACC at the Forefront of the Circular Economy: Participation in the CSS BOOST Project Plenary Meeting in London

The Mediterranean Agrofood Competence Center (MACC) actively participated in the Plenary Meeting of the European project CSS BOOST, which was successfully held on 5–6 December 2025 at the modern facilities of Imperial College London. This meeting marked an important milestone in the project’s progress, bringing together all participating partners to conduct an in-depth assessment of the work achieved so far and to coordinate the planning of upcoming activities.

Throughout the two-day sessions, particular emphasis was placed on key issues related to the circular economy and on how the CSS BOOST pilot projects contribute to the development of sustainable, practical, and scalable solutions in real-world conditions. Each partner presented the progress of their respective pilot project, highlighting:

  • the challenges encountered,
  • the best practices applied,
  • and the first encouraging results already achieved.

The discussions that followed the presentations were highly constructive, serving as a dynamic forum for exchanging technical expertise, specialized recommendations, and innovative ideas. This collaborative approach further strengthened the joint effort to shape a coherent and reliable final outcome that aligns with the project’s objectives and with European strategies for sustainable development.

MACC’s presence in London was decisive, as the organization actively contributed to the dialogue and to the promotion of collaborative actions among partners. Through its involvement, MACC reaffirmed its commitment to achieving the goals of CSS BOOST, solidifying its role as a key driver in promoting circular economy practices and advancing innovation at the European level.
