MACC strengthens its international partnerships

Visit of the Economic Attaché of the German Embassy, Mr. Frank Werner, to MACC

The Mediterranean Agri-Food Competence Center (MACC) hosted a working meeting yesterday, attended by the Economic Attaché of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Greece, Mr. Frank Werner, and the Honorary Consul of Germany in Heraklion, Dr. Georgios Kaloutsakis.

The meeting is part of the MACC’s strategic actions to strengthen its international presence and promote cooperation with companies, institutions, research centers, and organizations abroad.

This initiative is part of the MACC’s strategic plan to internationalize its activities through bilateral programs and collaborations that are already being implemented, exchanges of know-how and participation in European networks and innovation projects as a member of the Greek-German Chamber of Commerce.

During the meeting:

The strategic priorities of the MACC were presented with regard to the development of long-term cooperation in the field of research and innovation.
Possibilities for promoting synergies in bilateral programs and partnerships in the areas of know-how, technology, and best practice transfer were discussed.
The role of MACC in developing circular economy actions, enhancing well-being, and boosting agricultural production efficiency was emphasized.
Based in Heraklion, Crete, MACC is a modern innovation hub that connects research and entrepreneurship in the agri-food sector.
